This Porsche was upgraded to the SC package including: engine, transaxle, disk brakes and SC gauges. The SC package was the highest performance package that Porsche had for the 356's. All of the upgrading was performed by a Porsche dealership and completed in 1964.
This car has never been in the rain since it was restored. There was minor paint loss around the battery box from a battery leak that I restored and painted (see photo). The windshield wiper motor needs to be checked (once again, never been in the rain) and no speakers were installed for the radio after the restoration. Other than these minor points, this 44 year old vintage Porsche needs nothing.

ENGINE - SC Serial No. P812404, Case casting No. 78617, Model 616/16. Displacement 1750cc, Japanese kit. Comp ratio – 9.5:1. Valves – Exhaust 4o, Intake 6o Carburetors – Solex 40PII-4, Main jet - .0015. Tachometer – Electric, 6000 to 6200 RPM redline. 95HP @ 5800 RPM
TRANSAXLE and BRAKES - 741A Dual mount, 12 bolt ring gear, Serial No. 79330. 4 wheel disc brakes.
Radio – Rare Blaupunkt Frankfurt, AM/FM/long wave/push button for U.S., Serial No. X72463
New convertible Hartz cloth top installed in 2004.
2,179 miles since frame off restoration in 1990.
Lovely, solid, rust free convertible This Porsche is in near perfect condition and will be a showstopper any where it goes. A joy to drive on a sunny day.
Awards – AACA Lake Forest, Illinois: July 1999, 2001, Second Place (1962 to recent sports cars). Comments – “Replace original soft top” (replaced in 2004)
