Here we have my 1968 Plymouth Road Runner...440....4 speed that is my own personal toy.This car was originally powered by a 383.....so the numbers are not matching. I purchased this car at the local dealer auto auction last May.
My Service Department went through the Chrysler 8.75 rear end completely including replacing the carrier ( posi) and the ring and pinion ( 4:11) with all new parts from Summit Racing. The car has all new tires and Cragar SS wheels. Transmission has been completely rebuilt....Hurst shifter is new. Engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago....I have the reciepts from the shop that did it. The brakes ( drums front and rear) are all new. We went throught the steering as well. THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECTLY. The body is very straight on this car. Both quarters have been replaced.....floors are orginal on both sides. Frame is clean and dry....no rot at all.
No rust. Paint is driver quality.....very nice....not perfect. Chrome is good as well.....rear bumper has a small ding in it. Interior is nice. Seat covers are not original but very nice. Headliner is nice but a little tattered around the rear window.
All in all this car is a nice driver. Like I said earlier....it runs and drives 100%. Doesn't wander or shake. If a driver is what you are looking for....you won't need to spend a dime on this car.
